Welcome

We opened our doors over forty years ago to offer children an educational experience based on the innovative educational theories developed by Maria Montessori. We strive to provide an authentic Montessori environment for children from 3 - 6 years of age; adhering to the standards developed by Dr. Montessori and the Association Montessori Internationale .

Casa Montessori's classrooms are beautifully and thoughtfully arranged spaces designed to nurture the whole child. Children learn by exploring the world. Our three year Primary Montessori program beginning at age 3 includes independent and guided activity, uninterrupted work periods, hands-on learning and interaction with nature and friends. What Alumni and Parents are Saying

“At Casa Montessori, children learned to be responsible for their actions. I learned to be patient when giving someone a lesson, and that each child had something to teach me. I learned that each person was to be treated with the utmost respect and that I deserved that respect too.” ~Christopher Kelly

"My children love to go to school. They want to go on Saturday! They come home singing songs they've learned, with plein-air sketches they've created, paint smudges on their faces, explaining to me the life cycle of a butterfly…” ~Kathryn Haggard

“Casa taught me how to be a student and a teacher. You can teach others through what you learn as a student. My experiences at Casa Montessori taught me that kindness and caring are some of the most important values a young child can have.” ~Josh Wehrle

“There are so many good memories that I have from Casa. The environment was so inviting! I remember learning math at a very young age and it is still my favorite subject. My favorite things were the glass beads and chains we used for counting and math, and the bells. I will always remember how much fun it was!” ~Sara Beth Nielsen

“I think that Casa has had an enormous impact in making our daughter the happy, "I can do it" girl she is. Thank you for everything that you do to make Casa such a wonderful nurturing place for our children.  Sometimes I walk into Casa and it feels like I have stepped away from an often crazy world where our children are over-scheduled and over-stimulated, into a safe harbor, a place where good sense and humor prevail.” ~Cathy O’Neill

“The child has a different relationship to his environment from ours. Adults admire the environment, they can remember it and think about it. The things the child sees are not just remembered, they form a part of his soul.”
